The fruits of our labors.

These images are no where as artistic as those of Micah and Lizzie but, here are our first slices of watermelon from our garden. it was a very delicious melon although it was not huge. This variety grows round melons the size of a soccer ball. Shae could not understand why I did not pick out 'all those gross black things' -- meaning seeds. We have decided we are a seedless variety loving family. How do you buy seeds for seedless melons?

Super impressive! And too funny about the "gross black things"! I prefer not to have to mess with them myself...

So fun! Yeah, we REALLY wanna grow some melons next year. My kids eat them like they're going outta style! Congrats on a successful harvest!

Oh, and, seriously, you can get seeds for seedless watermelon. They're just hybrids. In fact, unless seeds specifically say "heirloom," it's my understanding that most of the seeds you do get are actually sterile. SO, you may as well just not have them at all, yeah?
